NEW POEM

Stand Alone  by: Tina G.

Rhythm
Repetition
Heartbeat
Drumbeat
Dark rooted every hair
Not naturally
But it always felt that way
The stories of the players
The rise and the fall
And what would you say if you could?
Up jump the boogie
You won't fight for me
And I don't mean fists behind bad memories deep rooted
Afterall can't put a heart there if it ain't beating
Then the butterflies come in
Just when you realize they have nothing to offer
Nor does the person who put them there in the first place
Run and Panic
Feel
The vibrations within band hoodies that fit us to snug
Because we're grown now
Take the past to the bridge
Watch it fall
Stand Alone
